Belinda has been a student at Deakin University for several years studying Health Sciences, Anthropology, and Politics and Policy studies. In between studying Belinda has volunteered for the Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (VACCHO), for Volunteer Service Nepal (VSN) in Kathmandu, and in IDP camps in Nakuru Kenya. Belinda is currently completing a PhD in the School of International and Political Studies focusing on the governance of global health issues through the lens of democratic theory. She has presented on this topic in Hyderabad, India and in Montreal, Canada. She is a member of the Public Health Association of Australia, the Australian Political Science Association, International Studies Association and the Peoples Health Movement. Belinda currently serves as the postgraduate student representative on Deakin Council. |
