Terry Roche completed a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology and History) at Monash University and a Master of Business Administration at RMIT before commencing working life with Student Unions at La Trobe and RMIT Universities. He started his facilities management career in the Accommodation Planning Branch at RMIT.
Living in the UK during the 1990’s, Terry worked in space planning and management and timetabling at Nottingham Trent University. With funding from the Higher Education Funding Council of England, he developed new space management and planning software and worked as a consultant in Australia, the United Arab Emirates and the UK. After returning to Melbourne, Terry worked for Deakin University, first with the Science and Technology Faculty as a planning analyst, then the Library as Quality & Innovation Manager.
For four years Terry was Space Manager for Victoria University, managing academic timetables, space management, and space databases, before returning to Deakin in mid-2012. He is also a Senior Fellow of the Graduate School of Education at the University of Melbourne and lectures for their Master of Tertiary Education Management program.
