The University Solicitor's Office provides legal advice and legal services to the Vice-Chancellor, Senior Executive and other decision makers to support the University in meeting its mission and objectives, as stated in the Deakin University Act and the Strategic Plan.

Please note that we are not able to advise staff on personal legal matters, nor do we provide advice to students.

Our website has been designed to assist University staff by:

• introducing you to members of the University Solicitor's Office and their specific areas of practice and expertise;
• identifying the information we require in order to assist you with your query;  and
• providing direct access to information that we think will assist staff, including access to Deakin Standard Form Agreements that have been developed and pre-approved for use.
