Biography
L is a transdisciplinary action researcher and governance leader with expertise spanning climate change, social equity and institutional transformation. A graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and recipient of the Minister for Water Leadership Award, L brings experience across research, industry engagement, public policy and strategic leadership at local, state and national levels, across government, NGO's and the private sector. Their governance approach is grounded in ethical leadership, innovation, informed decision-making and ongoing improvement.
Most recently, the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Diverse and Indigenous Knowledges initiative, selected L as one of 48 Invited Experts to development a new standards paper for definitions, standards and governance of Indigenous Knowledges for the UN IPCC. This work supports strengthened global frameworks for Indigenous science, rights, representation and knowledge integrity in climate research and policy.
L brings to University Council a strategic perspective shaped by cross-sector leadership, governance excellence and a commitment to ensuring education, research and institutional systems create long-term value for communities, Country and future generations.
