Students will on average spend 150 hours over the trimester undertaking the teaching, learning and assessment activities for this unit.

Online independent and collaborative learning activities including 10 scheduled online seminars

In-person attendance requirements

Compulsory attendance at a 5 day intensive held two weeks prior to the start of the trimester. This intensive will be held at the Warrnambool campus


This unit builds upon the knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology covered in Advanced Principles of Primary Care 1. Holistic care recognising the diversity of needs of individuals, particularly those of rural, remote, Indigenous and marginalised communities, will be discussed.
