Improving health and performance in sport
The Centre for Sport Research (CSR) focuses on influencing practice in sport to enhance the health and performance of people and organisations participating in sports.
CSR is entering a new phase and is currently in the process of being integrated into the Institute for Physical Activity and Nutrition (IPAN). Further information about CSR will be added in coming months.
CSR’s program of research is built on a foundation of industry and community partnerships, as well as sport and exercise science services. We aim to promote sport and exercise to create healthy communities, as well as build the capabilities of sport organisations to support more participation in sport.
CSR includes staff from sport, exercise and health in the School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences in Deakin’s Faculty of Health, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences in the Faculty of Arts and Education, and sport management and marketing in the Faculty of Business and Law.
