Details

The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) is Australia's leading expert body for supporting health and medical research. The NHMRC develops health advice for the Australian community and provides advice on ethical behaviour in health care, and in the conduct of health and medical research.

The NHMRC postgraduate scholarships scheme funds successful applicants to attain a research-based postgraduate degree (Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or a masters degree). It aims to support outstanding health and medical graduates early in their careers so they can be trained to conduct research that is internationally competitive, developing the capacity for original independent research within Australia.
