ABC Radio's Prue Bentley and her microphone and camera recently took a tour of the new Institute for Frontier Materials, guided by some of Deakin University's leading nanotechnology researchers.

Associate Professor Tiff Walsh invited Prue to Geelong after recently being interviewed on ABC Radio about her work in nanotechnology.

Prue spoke to Associate Professor Walsh, Dr Richard Williams, Dr Paul Collins and Dr Alessandra Sutti as well as Professors Xungai Wang and Peter Hodgson.

She called the program she prepared "For the future of manufacturing, think small" and says that smart materials, not cars and whitegoods, are the future of Australian manufacturing.
