Masters by research

A Masters by research is two years full time and can lead to PhD studies. You will produce a written thesis with the support of a research supervisor.

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)

Completion of a PhD takes approximately three years full time, during which you conduct original research in your field. You will produce a written thesis with the support of a research supervisor.

Global PhD program: Cotutelle

Deakin’s Cotutelle PhD program allows you to undertake a PhD across two universities in two different countries. With partnerships across the UK, Europe, Asia and beyond, you can build an international research network and create global impact.

On completion of the program, you’ll be awarded a PhD from both institutions, receive two testamurs, and gain access to extensive international opportunities.
