Researcher output profile for Dr Ken Boutin
Dr. Ken Boutin is a Senior Lecturer in International Relations at Deakin, which he joined in 2004. He earned a Ph.D. in Political Science from York University in Toronto, Canada, and was a Ford-IDSS Post-doctoral Fellow in Asian Security at the Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and Senior Arms Control and Disarmament Researcher at the Verification Research, Training and Information Centre in London prior to joining Deakin. Ken is a member of a number of professional bodies, including the American Political Science Association, Australian Institute of International Affairs, International Institute for Strategic Studies, and the International Studies Association.
Ken’s primary research interests are in the area of the political economy of security, including defence-industrial policy, arms control and economic security, and in the area of security resilience. He currently is engaged in research on economic security in the Asia-Pacific region and on security resilience in the Asia-Pacific and the United States.
