Specific entry requirements
When applying for a course, you need to meet the specific entry requirements for the course. Requirements can include prerequisites (e.g. completion of certain units in Year 12), filling out a form, providing additional documentation (see below), passing a written test or attending an interview or audition.
English language requirements
Applicants for Deakin courses must meet the English language requirements, to the level required for the course.

Applications through VTAC
If you are applying through VTAC, course requirements are detailed in the course information in the VTAC Course Search.
Supplementary Information Forms for VTAC applicants
Supplementary Information Forms are compulsory for some types of applicants for some courses. If your course is listed below you are required to complete the supplementary form.
Non year 12 applicants
Non year 12 applicants only must complete and submit the following:

Year 12 applicants only must complete and submit the following:
- Business Scholars Program - Supplementary Preference Form (PDF, 138.3KB)
- Global Science and Technology Program - Supplementary Preference Form (PDF, 162.4KB)

Documentation required when applying direct to Deakin
If you are required to provide additional documentation to support your application, not supplying these documents at the point of application may result in a delay in the consideration of your application.
When applying through the Applicant Portal, you'll be advised when these documents are required. They can be uploaded at the end of the application process. Deakin prefers that documents are in a pdf format and some documents such as transcripts and change of name will need to be certified before you upload them.
