About Deakin University
Established in the 1970s as one of the new generation of Australian universities, Deakin combines a university's traditional focus on excellent teaching and research with a desire to seek new ways of developing and delivering courses.

Deakin has recently been commended with nine Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning in the 2007 Carrick Awards (now the Australian Learning and Teaching Council awards).

Deakin's Strategic Plan
The Strategic Plan outlines the University's mission and vision as a high level general overview of where Deakin is heading.

Deakin's Operational Plan
The Operational Plan is a detailed plan on how Deakin University is going to achieve its mission. The plan provides information on the campaigns for the University as a whole as well as it's individual Faculties. Areas covered include Teaching and Learning, Research and Research Training, Internationalism and Community Responsibilities.
