All staff receive a minimum 10% employer contribution to their superannuation, and we offer up to 17% superannuation depending on the type and length of appointment. You can also make additional contributions to superannuation pre-tax or post-tax.
A staff member who performs satisfactorily in their role will receive an annual salary increment until they reach the top of the relevant salary classification.
Recreation leave loading
You will receive 17.5% leave loading on your leave entitlements. This is paid annually in a lump sum at the end of the year.
Deakin has a flexible remuneration/salary packaging option for eligible staff, which allows for the salary packaging of items such as novated car leases, on-campus childcare and contributions to complying superannuation funds.
