Vice-Chancellor Appointment Advisory Committee

The Vice-Chancellor Appointment Advisory Committee’s role is to assist Council in the appointment of Deakin’s next Vice-Chancellor through:

• development and approval of a position description, selection criteria and related documentation
• guiding the selection of executive search firm and other advisory firms
• oversight of the search and recruitment process
• conducting the shortlisting and interviewing of candidates
• reporting to Council throughout the recruitment and appointment process on the progress of search and selection steps
• presenting a recommendation on an appointment to Council.
