How our research enhances business reporting

The Deakin Business Value Creation Centre provides strategic and operational leadership in integrated reporting policy. Jointly funded by the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, our research supports the adoption of integrated reporting in Australia and internationally through cutting-edge research, thought leadership and education initiatives. We engage with industry and the business community to promote an understanding of the value of integrated thinking across three key  focus areas:

Research

We conduct cutting-edge research in the key areas of integrated reporting. Our research is designed to provide value and help to build sustainable practices in business. We actively encourage interdisciplinary research through initiatives such as faculty-level symposiums and research collaborations.

Thought leadership

Our thought leadership promotes the value of integrated reporting to businesses and the business community. We present at academic conferences, forums and share thought-leadership in publications, as well as engaging with regulatory initiatives to enhance better business reporting.

Education and training

We facilitate and conduct education and training in the area of integrated reporting for the University, business community and our broader networks. We develop and deliver units for sustainability and integrated reporting, as well as creating education materials for workshops to be delivered in industry.
