Getting to class
DUELI is based in two campuses – our Melbourne Burwood Campus, which is in the suburbs of Melbourne, and our Geelong Waterfront Campus, which is in the heart of Geelong.
Melbourne Burwood Campus
From Melbourne CBD it takes about an hour to get to Deakin’s Burwood Campus using combinations of train, tram and bus. The most direct journey is by tram: take the 75 tram from Stop 4 (Flinders Street) to Stop 63 (Deakin University/Burwood Highway).
Cycling, Burwood Campus is around 15km from Melbourne's CBD and takes about an hour (there are a couple of quite steep hills to contend with). There are plenty of bike trails around the campus so commuting on your bike is definitely an option. On campus you'll find plenty of showers, change rooms, bike racks, lockers and a secure bicycle cage.
The Burwood Campus is a 25-minute drive from Melbourne CBD, depending on traffic.
Geelong Waterfront Campus
Geelong train station is located just 400 metres from campus. V/Line trains operate throughout the day on the Geelong–Melbourne line and take just over an hour.
While cycling all the way from Melbourne may be a little too adventurous for most (83kms along the Federation bicycle trail), there are plenty of scenic trails in the area if you're coming from closer. On campus you'll find plenty of showers, change rooms, bike racks, lockers and a secure bicycle cage.
The Geelong Waterfront Campus is an hour-long drive from Melbourne CBD, depending on traffic.
