Getting to classes

Melbourne Burwood Campus

From the centre of Melbourne it takes about an hour to get to Deakin’s Burwood Campus using public transport. The most direct route is by tram: take the number 75 tram from Stop 4 on Flinders Street to Stop 63 (Deakin University/Burwood Highway).

The Melbourne Burwood Campus is a 25 minute drive from the Melbourne CBD, depending on traffic. It is also accessible by cycling, with plenty of bike trails around the campus. On campus you will find plenty of showers, change rooms, bike racks, lockers and a secure bicycle cage.

Geelong Waterfront Campus

Geelong train station is located just 400 metres from campus. V/Line trains operate throughout the day on the Geelong–Melbourne line and take just over an hour. There are also a range of public transport options for travelling around Geelong, including buses that link the Geelong Waterfront and Geelong Waurn Ponds campuses.

The Geelong Waterfront Campus is an hour-long drive from Melbourne CBD, depending on traffic.

Cycling all the way from Melbourne may be too adventurous for most (83kms along the Federation bicycle trail), there are plenty of scenic trails around the Geelong area. On campus you will find plenty of bike-friendly facilities including showers, change rooms, bike racks, lockers and a secure bicycle cage.
