Many Deakin undergraduate psychology courses are accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council* and can lead to further study in pursuit of registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. Your next step is to complete a fourth year of study in psychology, such as our Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) or the equivalent Graduate Diploma of Psychology (Advanced).
You will then be eligible for provisional registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, and eligible to apply for our postgraduate psychology degrees. After completing a masters degree in psychology, you are then eligible to apply for general registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, and to the Australian Psychological Society for full membership.
Our Master of Counselling is accredited by the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).
