Register and Win competition Terms and Conditions, and winners

The promoter of the Register and Win competition is: Deakin University ABN 56 721 584 203 of 221 Burwood Highway, Burwood, Victoria, 3125 (Deakin). This competition is subject to the following trade promotion permit - SA Licence No. T25/2271. By submitting an entry, entrants agree to be bound by these T&Cs and entries must comply with the T&Cs to be valid. This competition is free to enter and is open to all persons over the age of 13 who reside in the Australian states of Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Tasmania only who complete all relevant details in the competition registration form between 2 February 2026 and 30 November 2026 in the manner set out in these T&Cs. Entrants may submit one valid entry per month and may enter in as many different months as they choose, ensuring they have an equal chance of winning the prize(s) available in each month’s draw. Late, incomplete, multiple entries or those with remarks deemed offensive will be invalid. Deakin accepts no responsibility for lost or misdirected entries. Employees of Deakin and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter this competition.

This competition commences at 9am AEDT on Monday 2 February 2026 and closes at 11.59pm AEDT on Monday 30 November 2026.

Prizes will be drawn monthly on the following dates and times between March 2026 and November 2026:

• Friday 27 March 2026 at 10am AEDT
• Friday 24 April 2026 at 10am AEDT
• Friday 29 May 2026 at 10am AEDT
• Friday 26 June 2026 at 10am AEDT
• Friday 31 July 2026 at 10am AEDT
• Friday 28 August 2026 at 10am AEDT
• Friday 25 September 2026 at 10am AEDT
• Friday 30 October 2026 at 10am AEDT
• Monday 30 November 2026 at 10am AEDT

Entrants will be eligible for one monthly prize within the month they entered the competition draw. There are 13 monthly prizes in total, distributed per month between March 2026 and November 2026. Winners will be randomly drawn on the last Friday of each month, except December, as the competition ends 30 November 2026. The last name, initial of the first name and postcode of each winner of a prize the value of which is over $250 will be published within 30 days of the draw on https://www.deakin.edu.au/register-and-win. Draws will be conducted by Deakin Marketing Division staff using a random name generator.

There are 13 grand prizes in total, to be drawn as follows:

1. March: One $500 Ticketek gift card (distributed in the form of a Prezi $500 digital gift card)
2. April: One $500 The Iconic gift card (distributed in the form of a Prezi $500 digital gift card)
3. May: One $1000 VISA gift card (distributed in the form of a Prezi $1000 digital gift card)
4. June: One $1000 JB Hi-Fi gift card (distributed in the form of a Prezi $1000 digital gift card)
5. June: One $1000 JB Hi-Fi gift card (distributed in the form of a Prezi $1000 digital gift card)
6. July: One Apple MacBook Air, $1499
7. July: One AirPod 4 Noise cancellation, $299
8. July: One $500 Apple gift card (distributed in the form of a Prezi $500 digital gift card)
9. August: Apple MacBook Air, $1499
10. August: One $500 Apple gift card (distributed in the form of a Prezi $500 digital gift card)
11. September: One $500 VISA gift card (distributed in the form of a Prezi $500 digital gift card)
12. October: One AirPod 4 Noise cancellation, $299
13. November: One JBL Flip 7 waterproof speaker $179

The total prize pool for the prizes is valued at $9,275.

Thirteen winners will be drawn randomly, with prizes awarded in draw order at the offices of the Marketing Division at the Melbourne Burwood Campus, Burwood Highway, Burwood, Victoria. Winners will be drawn randomly by Deakin Marketing Division staff using a random name generator website in the presence of an independent witness. Prizes are not transferable and are not redeemable for an alternative prize. Entrants must complete the competition registration either in person at commercial expos, school visits, or Deakin events or online via deakin.edu.au/register-and-win or deakin.edu.au/openday. Entrants must include their name, email address and mobile telephone number. By entering the competition, entrants agree that they are over the age of 18 years, or if they are between the age of 13 and 18 years, that they have their parent's or legal guardian's consent to enter the competition. Both winner(s) and unclaimed winner(s) will be notified of any win in writing within 7 days and if the total value for a prize is over $250. Winners will be notified by phone and email the day the monthly prize is drawn. If a monthly prize winner does not claim a prize within 14 days of Deakin attempting to notify them, they will forfeit the prize. Notification within 7 days of the draw will also occur for unclaimed prize winner(s) as will publication. Deakin may conduct a re-draw at the offices of the Marketing Division at the Melbourne Burwood Campus, Burwood Highway, Burwood, Victoria for that prize on the following days between April 2026 and December 2026: Thursday 9 April 2026 at 10am AEDT, Thursday 7 May 2026 at 10am AEDT, Thursday 9 June 2026 at 10am AEDT, Thursday 9 July 2026 at 10am AEDT, Thursday 13 August 2026 at 10am AEDT, Thursday 10 September 2026 at 10am AEDT, Thursday 8 October 2026 at 10am AEDT, Thursday 12 November 2026 at 10am AEDT, Monday 14 December 2026 at 10am AEDT.

If for any reason any aspect of this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion and invalidate any affected entries, or suspend or modify a prize, subject to State or Territory regulation. Deakin will send the prizes by post to an Australian address nominated by the winner. Deakin will not be liable for any loss or damage to the prize when it is in the possession of the postal service provider.

Personal information provided to Deakin by entrants will be used to send entrants information about Deakin’s courses and other activities and to conduct the draw, notify the winner and publish the winner's first name initial, last name, and postcode of school, within 14 days of the draw, online at deakin.edu.au/register-and-win. For these purposes, Deakin may also provide this personal information to its consultants. You are not required to provide the information requested, however if the information is not provided you will not be eligible for the draw. Deakin University is collecting your personal information on this form to record your details to enable Deakin to send you information about Deakin and its events and activities. Deakin may be unable to register you or provide updates without using your personal information to enter, draw winners, and make contact. Providing this information is optional, but without it, Deakin cannot communicate with you or enter you in the draw.

Deakin manages personal information, including requests by individuals for access to their personal information, in accordance with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic). Deakin's decisions on all aspects of this competition are final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. Deakin reserves the right to cancel, delay or modify the competition or amend these T&Cs at any time. Deakin accepts no responsibility and will not be liable to any extent for any accident, loss, injury or damage to any individual or property arising out of or in connection with the competition or the prizes, whether during or after the competition.
