When can I start studying at Deakin?
Deakin's flexible trimester system means you'll typically study in Trimester 1 and Trimester 2 if you're a full-time student. Depending on your course, you can also choose to study over summer in Trimester 3 to fast-track your degree or take a break before study starts again. Learn more about Deakin's flexible trimesters.

Research degree start dates
If you're a research student, you may be able to start your studies at any time throughout the year, subject to faculty approval. However, we recommend starting at one of the four main intake dates to make the most of orientation programs and support services.
