Dr Ria Rushin Joseph is a lecturer in emerging technology and quantum computing at Deakin University’s School of Information Technology and researcher in fields of atomic, molecular and optical physics and quantum physics.
Dr Kelvin Li is a lecturer in the School of Information Technology at Deakin University. He has an academic background covering mathematics, theoretical computer science, and machine learning. His research focuses on the mathematical foundations of cryptography, with particular interests in lattice-based cryptography, homomorphic encryption, and the use of quantum computing techniques in cryptographic proofs.

During the short course you’ll:
- lead the process of identification of applicability areas of quantum computing, quantum sensing and quantum communication in modern and future innovative advanced technology industrial organisations
- apply critical thinking to plan, utilise and evaluate effectiveness of utilisation of quantum technologies, identify technological issues related to applications of quantum technologies in modern and future industrial organisations
- ethically and productively communicate advantages and benefits of innovative quantum technologies to a variety of stakeholders using a variety of communication modes, including written and oral.
How you’re assessed
Your assessment requires you to work through a series of tasks tailored to your learning goals, allowing you to build a comprehensive portfolio of evidence. You will be required to respond to feedback or questions posed by the teaching team, which may include audio or video recordings or participating in online meeting to demonstrate your understanding of task and their associated concepts. This approach allows you to take your learning further and apply it in real-world scenarios.
