Study Skills is your partner in your HDR journey. We provide a range of services, resources and programs to support you at all stages of your research. Language and Learning Advisers facilitate thesis study groups and are available for individual consultations at any stage of your research.

If you are a HDR student, you are automatically enrolled into the Higher Degree by Research CloudDeakin site. You can access learning materials to support all stages of your candidature on your HDR journey.

There are activities and opportunities for you to connect with other HDR students. The discussion forums are monitored by a Language and Learning Adviser who will be able to assist with any queries and refer you to appropriate services as needed.

Thesis study groups

Thesis study groups provide support for you on your HDR journey and are a great opportunity to meet other HDR candidates. These sessions are open to students from all Faculties and Schools, and focus on many aspects of thesis researching and writing. Through reading and commenting on other candidates' theses drafts, you will develop critical readings skills, and enhance your communication and English language skills. Campus and cloud (online) sessions are available and are facilitated by Language and Learning Advisers.
