Research for Information Technology

Research in the School of Information Technology serves three main purposes:

  • generation of new fundamental knowledge
  • education of graduate students
  • assisting industry to advance their technologies to maintain a competitive edge nationally and internationally

Members of the School have a strong commitment to both pure and applied research of practical importance.

Strong industry-based research collaboration has resulted in many successful partnerships, where companies and the University have adopted a win-win approach. In addition to several hundred peer reviewed publications, we have attracted support from many companies and external funding agencies. The School of Information Technology hosts two Faculty Research Clusters: Innovation Through Broadband and Securing Cyberspace. These Clusters encompass the following Research groups.
