National Code Gender-based Violence Committee
The role of the Committee
The National Code Gender-based Violence Committee’s responsibilities include:
- providing advice to Council on:
- the direction and strategy for the University’s Prevention and Response Plan, and overseeing implementation of the plan
- compliance by the University with the National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-based Violence
- providing governance oversight of the University’s policies, procedures, relevant surveys and activities which relate to gender-based violence
- assisting Council to discharge its positive duties in respect of staff and student safety and wellbeing, in the context of gender-based violence.
