Jobs of the future

Turn your passion for technology into a career that could take you anywhere. Gain the specialised skills employers are looking for, and be ready to fulfil the jobs of the future.

Whether you want to investigate cyber attacks, identify hidden patterns in big data or pursue a career in IT management, Deakin's postgraduate information technology courses can help you achieve your career goals.

Gain international industry recognition

Deakin’s postgraduate IT masters degrees are professionally accredited with the Australian Computer Society (ACS)* meaning you will graduate with a degree recognised around the world. You will work on real-world projects and engage in industry-based learning opportunities, helping you gain the specialised skills demanded by the industry and develop your professional networks before you graduate.

Welcoming international students to Australia

The Australian border is open. We look forward to welcoming student visa holders to our Australian campuses this year. We recommend you apply for your visa as soon as you accept your Deakin offer and we issue your confirmation of enrolment.

Postgraduate

Postgraduate (further study)

A postgraduate qualification can be undertaken by students who have already completed an undergraduate degree or possess significant, demonstrable work experience. Postgraduate courses include graduate certificates, graduate diplomas, masters and PhDs, as well as specialist programs for industry professionals.

Choosing the right degree

For Deakin's postgraduate information technology degrees, we offer a standard and professional stream. The degree you choose will depend on your previous study experience. The professional stream is ideal for those with a computing background who are looking to advance in the industry and provides the opportunity to undertake a period of industry-based learning or a research project. The standard stream is for those without a computing background who are looking to enter the industry.

I believe that with the skills and experience gained from Deakin, my career prospects are positive and promising. I am excited to embrace and develop further in IT and believe that I can use the skills I gained with technology to help people.
