To study at Deakin, international students must meet the academic, language and visa requirements. But don't worry if you don't meet some of the academic or language conditions straight away – we can still help you find a pathway to your course.

You'll need a student visa

All international students who want to study in Australia must be able to get an Australian student visa. It's a good idea to check your eligibility for a student visa before you start your application.

Students under 18 years old

You can study at Deakin in Australia if you're under 18 years old and:

  • you're accompanied by a parent or legal custodian
  • you stay with a suitable relative
  • your education provider provides a written statement saying that your accommodation, support and general welfare arrangements are appropriate.
