Content
This unit explores relational, collaborative and participatory approaches to creative practice. Students develop work that engages audiences, sites and communities, with a focus on ethical practice, public encounter, collaboration and audience-facing outcomes.
Through cycles of creative development, testing, feedback and reflection, students examine how creative practice operates in relation to people, places, contexts and publics. The unit supports students to develop strategies for engaging audiences and communities with care, clarity and critical awareness.
Students will participate in collaborative workshops, site based and audience-focused activities, structured critique, practical experimentation and reflective discussion. Learning is supported by readings, case studies, peer exchange, ethical framing and the testing of creative ideas in live or simulated contexts. This includes consideration of how creative work engages audiences through form, medium, space, interaction, interpretation and modes of encounter appropriate to the student's discipline.

Hurdle requirements
To be eligible to obtain a pass in this unit, students must achieve an overall mark of at least 50% in assessment task 1, Performance / Exhibition / Audience-Facing Outcome and in assessment task 2, Live Simulation and Oral Defence to evidence a minimum proficiency in the aligned discipline learning outcomes included in this unit.
