Content
This unit offers an introduction to visual storytelling techniques used by production designers and costume designers in film, television and live performance to elevate the creative vision of a project. Practical workshops allow students to gain embodied knowledge of costume and prop selection, spatial design, set dressing, location selection and the use of virtual production environments. Students learn how to conduct effective visual research to facilitate clear and concise communication of visual concepts that express the dramatic intention of the story.
