Content
This unit introduces the foundational craft of writing for the screen. Through practical collaborative workshops modelled on the writers' room, a cornerstone of professional film and television practice, students will develop ideas and concepts, character arcs, story arcs, loglines, synopses, treatments, a short script, and pitch deck materials for a short-form screen project. Students will reflect and act upon peer feedback, developing the scriptwriting skills that form an essential pillar of screen storytelling and which can be extended into individual or industry projects later in their course.
