Content
This unit extends your exploration of technical production, deepening your practical and theoretical understanding of stagecraft and stage management. Building on foundational skills, you will engage with core production areas including set construction, costume and prop coordination, rigging, lighting and sound operation, and production communication processes. Emphasis is placed on safe and efficient backstage practice, collaborative production planning, and the integration of technical elements in live performance. Through a blend of theory, practice, and masterclass sessions, you will examine the full production process, from pre-production planning through to performance and bump-out, developing the skills and knowledge required for professional pathways in live theatre and technical production.
