Content

This unit builds on the foundational skills developed in AIC181 and is also suitable for students with prior experience in Chinese, such as those who have completed VCE Chinese or studied Chinese as a second language. It further develops proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, with a focus on greater fluency, accuracy, and flexibility in communication. Through interactive classroom activities and curated online resources, students expand their use of vocabulary and sentence patterns to engage in more sustained spoken and written tasks. Cultural learning is integrated throughout, supporting students’ understanding of language use in contemporary Chinese contexts. By the end of the unit, students will develop their abilities to analyse language and cultural meaning, solve communication problems, and work both independently and collaboratively to apply their knowledge in a range of real???world situations.
