Content
This unit develops the broad foundational knowledge and skills in academic English and communication required for undergraduate study. Students will build cognitive, technical, and communication skills through written tasks such as summarising, essay writing, referencing, and examination preparation, with explicit attention to academic integrity. Oral communication skills will be developed through planning and delivering structured presentations using appropriate academic language and effective delivery strategies. Students will apply communication skills in supported learning contexts, demonstrating increasing independence and responsibility for their learning. span>
