Content
This unit provides an overview of three of the major literary forms: poetry, prose, and script. These forms have been part of the literary tradition since (at least) Ancient Greece, and students will explore their evolution from classic examples until the present day. Three major questions underpin this unit:
• What are these forms?
• How do they work?
• Why have they continued to endure throughout the centuries?
This unit's assessment program provides students with the opportunity not just to think critically about these major textual forms but - if they so choose - to create their own poems, prose, or scripts, putting theory into practice.
