Content
This unit introduces students to the research methods and theoretical approaches that will assist them in the conduct of the research for, and production of, their Masters research project. It focuses on defining research and tackling issues concerned with the practice of research alongside an exploration of critical theory. The unit is designed to complement students' individual research projects as well as expanding their familiarity with a range of theoretical concepts and perspectives relevant to literature and writing. This unit provides students with the opportunity to plan and structure their research project while also developing an understanding of how critical theories can be used as frameworks for analysis and creative practice.
