Study commitment:

Students will on average spend 150-hours over the teaching period undertaking the teaching, learning and assessment activities for this unit.

This will include educator guided online learning activities within the unit site.

Scheduled learning activities - campus:

1 x 3-hour on-campus seminar per week

NIKERI (CBD):

3 x 6-hour on-campus intensive (workshops/seminars) per trimester (weeks TBA)

1 x 1-hour online seminars per week for 8-weeks

Content

This unit will equip students with a foundation in teamwork skills for tertiary study and the workplace. The unit offers practical opportunities to develop confidence in leadership and working constructively with others. Skills such as negotiation, problem solving, planning, mutual support and self-management are covered. Learning is consolidated through development of a student-led group community project with peers or local community members.

Hurdle requirements

To be eligible to obtain a pass in this unit, students must achieve an overall mark of at least 50% in assessment task 3, Student-Led Community Project Presentation with Self-Reflection to evidence a minimum proficiency in the aligned discipline learning outcomes included in this unit.
