Content
In this unit, students will be introduced to the holistic nature of development throughout the lifespan, with a focus on children 0-5 years of age. Students will explore developmental domains, key milestones, and influences that shape children’s growth. Students will critique and problematise diverse established and contemporary theories and consider the role that environments and genetics have on development, learning, and wellbeing. Through analysis of developmental theories, students will apply a balanced perspective to real-life practice examples to explore how various factors shape children’s development.
