Content
This unit creates opportunities for learning through researching trauma-responsive and humanitarian policies and services. The unit explores what practice inquiry is, how practice inquiry is different from basic research, why we need to investigate trauma-responsive educational practices, what the core methodological strategies and ethical implications of practice inquiry in trauma-responsive education are, and why social justice perspectives are important in trauma-responsive and humanitarian practice inquiry.

Hurdle requirements
To be eligible to obtain a pass in this unit, students must achieve an overall mark of at least 50% in assessment task 2: professional development plan and professional dialogue presentation to evidence a minimum proficiency in the aligned discipline learning outcomes included in this unit.
