Students will explore strategies inherent to midwifery care that support the health education needs of a woman such as breastfeeding and alternative infant feeding options, immunisation, infant safety, and the potential emotional changes that may be experienced by the woman in the postnatal period.

During a 160-hour Midwifery Practice experience students will have the opportunity to further develop mindsets and apply knowledge and skills learned in this unit.
