Content
In this unit, students will examine care of the pre-term, small for gestational age and term neonates who develop complex health issues. The delivery of care related to neonatal challenges in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of health professionals will be explored.
During the 64-hour Midwifery Practice Experience students will have the opportunity to further develop knowledge, skills, and mindsets to care for the neonate and family where a neonate requires additional care and/or admission to the special care nursery.
