Content

This unit extends students’ psychological assessment skills to the evaluation of complex adult clinical presentations. Particular attention is given to personality disorders, trauma-related conditions, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism and ADHD. Building on foundational assessment knowledge, students will engage with structured interviews, clinician rating scales, self-report inventories, functional measures, and approaches to differential diagnosis. Emphasis is placed on integrating data from multiple sources into coherent, culturally responsive case formulations that inform treatment planning and support recommendations. Students will also develop advanced skills in communicating assessment findings clearly and appropriately to different audiences. Learning occurs through applied activities, role plays, case vignettes, and seminar-based skill development.
