Content
This unit aims to equip second-year occupational therapy students with the knowledge, skills and critical reflection necessary to practice in a culturally responsive and culturally competent way. Students will engage in various learning experiences, both online and on-campus, to increase their understanding of cultural competency and application in OT practice. In addition, students will prepare for, participate in and be assessed during a professional one week on-campus simulated practice education experience with a clinical occupational therapy focus. Students will be supported during the simulated placement by an OT clinical educator.
