Students will on average spend 150 hours over the teaching period undertaking the teaching, learning and assessment activities for this unit.

This will include educator guided online learning activities within the unit site.

Content

This unit provides foundational knowledge of play development and assessment. Students explore approaches to assessment and apply this knowledge through a critical analysis of a play assessment along with key environmental, cultural and pharmacological considerations that inform practice. Therapeutic skills are further developed as students plan, undertake and reflect on a simulated therapeutic assessment.
