Content
This unit is the third placement unit in the Master of Child Play Therapy. In this unit students gain the underpinning knowledge and skills to engage families in systemic play therapy.
The unit commences with a 5-day virtual teaching intensive workshop that includes specialised training in filial play therapy skills. Following the intensive, students undertake their final supervised clinical placement with suitable child/family referrals and monitor change though the therapeutic process.
Alongside clinical placement hours, students are required to undertake regular group and individual supervision with a Deakin-appointed supervisor and must complete and pass the Placement Assessment and Review (PAR) to successfully complete the unit.
