Content

This unit will thoroughly explore the project lifecycle, breaking down each crucial phase: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and finally, closing. This detailed journey will equip you with the theoretical scaffolding necessary for all subsequent, more specialised units.
Students will learn about key project roles and responsibilities, such as those of the project manager, project sponsor, and team members, understanding their vital contributions to project success. This unit will touch upon the use of project management information systems that support effective project execution. By the end of this subject, you'll have a robust understanding of project management fundamentals, preparing you to tackle complex challenges and contribute effectively to any business environment.
