Content
Enterprise database, architecture and governance are key issues for organisations to manage the growing volume of internal and external information resources. This unit discusses how databases can be designed to store information resources such that the information resources can be accessed with SQL. This unit also covers the key enterprise architecture components needed to manage information resources, and the importance of aligning enterprise architectures with organisational strategy and policies. Enterprise architectures must support the governance of information resources. Students will learn about governance frameworks (e.g. COBIT, ITIL) that address issues such as complying with data protection principles and so on.
