Content
Strategic Negotiation and Deal-Making is an intensive, skills-based unit that prepares students to negotiate effectively in business environments. Delivered over two immersive weeks at Deakin Downtown, the unit combines role-play simulations, peer coaching, and expert feedback to build students’ confidence and strategic capability in negotiation settings.
Students engage in a series of guided negotiations—ranging from startup investment deals to commercial partnerships—culminating in a high-stakes MOOT (Negotiation) Court experience. Assessment focuses on performance, preparation, and reflection.
This unit is ideal for students looking to develop the real-world communication, influence, and decision-making skills essential for founders, innovators, and business leaders.
