Content
This unit extends existing knowledge of geomechanics particularly in relation to the systematic design of tunnels in rock. It provides design and construction techniques engineers can use to develop and manage safe and efficient excavation designs.

Hurdle requirements
To be eligible to obtain a pass in this unit, students must achieve an overall mark of at least 50% in AT4 Design presentation and defence.
