Content
The unit introduces students to the core principles and practical applications of virtual and augmented interfaces, with a focus on evaluating emerging technologies and proposing innovative solutions. It begins with an exploration of Human Computer Interaction (HCI) fundamentals and contemporary interface technologies. Students will then examine case studies highlighting recent advances in virtual and augmented interfaces and will critically review their effectiveness and suitability for different contexts. In the final stage of the unit, students will work collaboratively to design a solution to an identified real world problem and present their concept as a mock up or prototype developed using a VR or AR platform.
