Alfred Deakin Research Institute Emeritus Professor, Bill Logan, has been invited by The UNESCO World Heritage Centre to participate in the expert working group that will be implementing the World Heritage Committee's decision 36 COM 5C.

With the 2015 evaluation of the Millennium Development Goals forthcoming, alongside increasing international concern for heritage conservation and sustainable development, it is timely to conceive of constructive policies that will officially link World Heritage with sustainable development.

As a leading expert in the heritage sector, Bill will contribute to a proposal for a policy on the integration of sustainable development into the processes of the World Heritage Convention, for possible inclusion in the future Policy Guidelines document.
