With more than 200 000 alumni located in over 110 countries, Deakin University's alumni community is vibrant and vast! Join the community now. Alumni membership is free for all Deakin and antecedent institutions graduates (see the list below) as well as for past staff members who worked at Deakin for more than two years.

The Deakin online Community Portal provides alumni with access to the many benefits of staying in touch; including global networking opportunities, communications, events, free webinars, professional development opportunities and postgraduate study incentives.

The Alumni Relations team develops and co-ordinates engagement between the University and our alumni community. We provide professional development and networking opportunities nationally and internationally in collaboration with formal chapters, informal networks and various international alumni associations. We also negotiate and deliver a range of exclusive benefits that are only available to our alumni community.

You are eligible to join the Deakin Alumni Community if you are:

  • a Deakin University graduate
  • a former Deakin staff member (exceeding two years of service) or
  • a graduate or former staff member of a Deakin antecedent institution

Antecedent institutions of Deakin University

To be an antecedent institution alumni member, you would have graduated from one of the institution's below prior to, or at the time that institution and/or course came under Deakin's management. Any person graduating or employed after this point are not be eligible for Deakin Alumni membership.

Staff membership

You need to be a former staff member of Deakin University or one of its antecedent institutions and have exceeded two years of service to be a staff alumnus.
